Individual & Relationship Therapy
While we live in a time of uncertainty, fear, and isolation, our greatest strength is our ability to connect and form relationships with each other. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is an authentic and collaborative relationship. I’m active, curious, and engaged in our therapy. My approach has been described as a blend of nonjudgemental, validating, and gently confronting.
I combine my training in evidence-based interventions with the expertise that you inherently bring to our treatment. I am particularly drawn to provide affirming therapy to folks who have had their own invalidating experiences with therapists in the past. I enjoy cultivating therapeutic relationships with queer, polyamorous, kinky, sex workers, creatives, and activists. Our work together will acknowledge that systemic problems like racism, homophobia, transphobia, or ableism are often root causes of people’s struggles.
Sessions are conversational and interactive, and I may assign you homework to sustain momentum in between our sessions. I believe that therapy can have the greatest impact when scheduled at the same time every week.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
I offer ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) to new and existing clients. KAP is an evidence-based approach that combines the benefits of supportive psychotherapy with psychedelic medication under the supervision of a medical professional. Learn more about KAP, and find out if you are eligible.
DBT Skills Training
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach used to help clients manage difficult emotions, improve relationships, and reduce self-destructive behaviors. DBT treatment teaches clients concrete skills and encourages their practice in a variety of settings. I work with clients to provide skills training as standalone treatment or adjunctive to other therapy.
Clinical Supervision for LCSW’s
(and LMSW’s seeking external/additional practice supervision)
I provide clinical case consultation to other licensed therapists within New York State and North Carolina. It is important practice to seek a range of perspectives and expertise as a therapist and I have experience offering supervision to therapists working in private group practices.
At this time I do not provide employment to LMSW’s seeking hours toward clinical licensure or to MSW candidates seeking field work placements.
